The Live Alchemy partners dream about having a bright-spark to help them with the daily runnings of the company. We decided to plot out what that person's role and skills would be. Content population on our sites

Liaising with suppliers for pricing and stock levels and keeping our databases up to date.
Uploading of product pictures and content to the sites.
Searching the Internet and supplier sites for text and pictures.
Basic copywriting and graphic manipulation skills a bonus. 

Customer Services

Taking customer phone calls, online chats and e-mails to answer questions relating to products, service offerings and order status.
Phoning and e-mailing customers with incomplete orders to help them finalise. 

Order Processing

Working with our e-commerce system to send quotes, capture payments, and make sure all orders are processed on time.
Placing orders with suppliers and arranging collections.
Co-ordinating the packaging of orders.
Arranging for delivery via courier companies.
Confirming that all orders arrive at the customers.

Admin

Filing and mail sorting.
Basic bookkeeping a bonus, or willingness to learn.
Miscellaneous office administration tasks, such as dealing with service providers, letter writing, setting up meetings.

Marketing

Sending samples and materials to PR Company/Magazines for press releases.
Co-ordinating our presence at trade shows and expos. 

Remuneration

What it takes to get the right person. 

Hours and location

Probably half-day, but potential to grow to full-time. Being able to answer the phone full-time is a bonus, but we can work around it.
Some time each week will be spent at our offices in Plumstead, but the majority will be from your home-office. Living close to the office is therefore a bonus.
Own computer, land-line and broadband Internet is required, but can be negotiated in the remuneration.

Supply-chain management

Bookkeeping and accounting

Bright-spark profiler

Marketing interest/background

Aware of current internet and marketing trends. ie. must know what a blog is
Has bought something online
